The Future
Our breeding program is always managed with the
future of the proper Labrador Retriever in mind.
Showing our dogs in the AKC conformation ring proves the quality of their coat, structure and movement. Training our dogs for CGC, working, and obedience titles, proves the soundness and intelligence of their minds.
Every puppy is born in the center of our home in our living room surrounded with abundant love and attention. They are handled daily by all members of our very large family, getting used to people of all ages. They are born into the hustle and bustle of everyday life with our busy family. They spend the entire 8 weeks of their lives inside with us. While inside they are litter box trained and taught proper manners. Their time outside is spent on the farm exercizing, playing, and getting to know the farm animals. We have a wonderful puppy play yard set up which allows them free play with many different materials. There is a puppy activity cube (made by us) with hanging objects that swing and make noise, there are barrels and play houses to climb into, through, and under, slides and platforms.. There is a wooden ramp as well as a metal grate to walk up and down. They enjoy jumping and playing in their ball pit, and in warm weather they play in their water filled pool. They have ropes and toys and balls to play tug-o-war and keep-away.
We try to pack as much experience as we can into the 8 weeks they are here with us.
This includes walking on grass, carpet, wood, tile, asphalt, gravel, and concrete.
Riding in a car, being in a crate, eating inside and outside.
Our children do a wonderful job as official puppy trainers and desensitizers, exposing puppies to cradling, swaddling, walking on a leash, in their beds, in the stroller, in a dress, you get the picture. This allows for proper socialization and stimulation giving them the foundation they need for a successful life with their future family.
We are proud to share this incredible breed with your family, and we are confident that they will steal your hearts, just as they did ours.

I can scarcely recall a childhood memory that a canine
companion was not by my side on some adventure or another.
There has not been a time in my life since, that I have ever
been without a dog, & I can't imagine my children growing
up without the same privilege.
I consider myself a lucky child being born into a dog loving home. My family raised and showed Doberman Pinschers. When I was 5 years old, a good family friend found a starving, epileptic Doberman locked in the closet of an abandonded house. He contacted us to see if we would take her in. Our answer was "YES!", of course we would. That dog, who I named Lady Bug, was my very first best friend, and the start of the best job any kid could ask for. She was the begining of our family dog rescue. I spent from age 5 to age 18, caring for and working with dogs of all breeds and sizes. In my early twenties, I had the opportunity to work for Clark County Animal Control in Las Vegas, NV. That was a very intense, interesting, and sad job. Since moving to Idaho in 2002 I have enjoyed volunteering at our local animal shelters, and training my dogs in obedience to become service dogs and earning their Canine Good Citizen titles.
In 2004, following in my family's footsteps, I too became involved in the dog show world. And following suit, our young children were in tow watching ringside as we began proving the quality of our dogs in the AKC conformation show ring.
Our journey with the Labrador Retriever began with two adopted adult labs, Goliath and Lucy. They were loyal, loving, kind, and humble; the epitome of the breed.
Their legacy lives on in our hearts, and in all we do to better the breed.
After having a Labrador in your life, there is simply no other breed that could take their place, which is why the Labrador Retriever continues to be the number one most popular dog in the world.

We consider ourselves very blessed to continue to share
our lives with the ever endearing Labrador Retriever.
We are fortunate to live on the beautiful Camas Prairie at
the base of Soldier Mountain and the breathtaking
Sawtooths.
Moon Creek Ranch is a 10 acre working family farm. Our labs stay healthy enjoying a variety of activities. Our farm has a tree lined creek to play and cool off in. There are numerous swimming holes, winding rivers, and miles of mountain hiking trails filled with a variety of wildlife in the area to explore. Kid Pond (pictured above), is across from our farm and allows our dogs to swim, jump off the docks, and retrieve all summer long. In the winter they love playing together in the snow.
Our hearts hold dear, the many wonderful attributes the Labrador breed encompasses. We appreciate the brains, beauty, and gentle nature they are known for, and we breed our dogs with the highest standards of each of those traits.
Proven bloodlines, with excellent health, even temperament, exceptional bone structure, correct movement, proper coats, and correct pigment, meeting the AKC Labrador Retriever breed standard, are all a MUST in our breeding program.
Moon Creek Labradors is a passion we share as a family. My children take great pride in helping with the care, training, and showing of our dogs & puppies.

We are very particular about diet & nutrition.
We feed a high quality, raw diet prepared fresh twice a day specificaly for each dog.
Our dogs enjoy local wild game of deer, elk, & antelope, farm raised rabbit, poultry, beef, pork, lamb, oily fish, fresh organic fruits & vegetables, homemade dairy kefir, and farm fresh eggs.
They receive supplements of omega 3, 6, & 9 fatty acids, vitamins, trace minerals, glucosamine, chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, phyto-nutrients, herbs, probiotics, prebiotics, digestive bacteria, & enzymes.
